[NOTE - Registration is open to any interested individual, but is REQUIRED. Verbal public input will only be conducted during the period identified for public input, unless the Chair requests otherwise. 0830-0840 h: Official Call to Order and Review of Meeting Format (Dr. Crosby )

0840-0900 h: Opening remarks (Drs. Beeton and Baker)

0900-1000 h: SAB discussion on NOAA science process(es) related to ESA and potentials for future ESA-oriented science.

1000-1015 h: BREAK

1015-1200 h: Update on Status of FY2000 Budget, Summary of FY2001 Strategic Planning Teams' Priorities, and Discussion on Strategic Planning related to science priorities
(Lead - Dr. Baker and Dr. Beeton with SAB members who participated in NOAA constituent meetings)

1200-1400 h: Private lunch for SAB at hotel (non-FACA).
During this time, SAB Sub-Committees will also be able to hold their own discussions with any ideas or recommendations brought to the entire Board for discussion and appropriate action.

1400-1430 h: Presentation of options for potential SAB participation/oversight in NOAA Science Program and Panel Reviews

1430-1530 h: Discussion on potential SAB participation/oversight in NOAA Science Panel Reviews (i.e., peer reviews of programs and proposals, NURP Advisory Board, GCP Advisory Committee, National Coastal Ocean Science Center, Fisheries Science Center, NESDIS Satellite Science Advisory Committee)

Friday, July 9
0700-0800 h: Private continental breakfast for SAB, with briefing by Dr. Crosby of the days activities (non-FACA).

0800-0830 h: SAB members board shuttles and travel to NOAA facilities at Sand Point (non-FACA).

0830-1130 h: SAB members visit NOAA facilities (non-FACA). Two options are available for SAB members to select from. All SAB members will begin with PMEL. Approximately 1 hour will be spent at each facility.

Option #1: Pacific Marine Environmental Lab, Alaska Fisheries Science Center, Northwest Fisheries Science Center (at UW campus)

Option #2: Pacific Marine Environmental Lab, NOAA Dive Center, National Weather Service Forecast Office

1130-1200 h: Return to hotel.

1200-1330 h: Private SAB Lunch (non-FACA)

1330-1340 h: Official Call to Order and Review of FACA Meeting Format
